Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed electronic hardware for embedded systems. The role involves hardware architecture, schematic design, power supply design, PCB development, SI/PI analysis, board bring-up, and product validation.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop electronic hardware from concept to production.
· Develop hardware architecture based on system requirements.
· Create schematics, perform component selection, and support PCB layout activities.
· Design STM32 or similar microcontroller-based embedded hardware platforms.
· Design FPGA-based hardware platforms (AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice, or equivalent).
· Design power supply circuits, including DC-DC converters, LDOs, PMICs, and power sequencing.
· Design and review high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, and other serial communication interfaces.
· Analyze and optimize PCB layouts for Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
· Perform board bring-up, debugging, hardware validation, and root cause analysis.
· Conduct circuit simulations and hardware verification using industry-standard tools.
· Collaborate with firmware, PCB layout, mechanical, manufacturing, and system engineering teams.
· Prepare technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, design reports, test plans, and validation reports.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
· 2–10 years of experience in hardware design and development.
Essential Skills
· Strong knowledge of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
· Experience in STM32 or similar microcontroller-based hardware design.
· Experience in FPGA board design (AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice, or equivalent).
· Experience in schematic capture, component selection, and PCB design support.
· Good understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) concepts.
· Familiarity with SI/PI simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, HyperLynx, Ansys HFSS, or equivalent.
· Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent.
· Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and function generators.
· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB 3.x, Gigabit Ethernet, LVDS, SerDes, or MIPI.
· Knowledge of controlled impedance routing, PCB stack-up design, and high-speed layout guidelines.
· Experience in Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) simulation and optimization.
· Familiarity with EMI/EMC design practices and hardware qualification testing.
· Experience with power supply design, sequencing, and thermal management.
· Exposure to aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, or embedded product development.
· Knowledge of design documentation, DFM, DFT, and product lifecycle processes.
