XDLINX Space Labs, a global leader in satellite technology, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Nodeflux, Indonesia’s leading Vision AI Solutions Provider to develop a Sovereign Low Earth Orbit (LEO) ISR satellite mission. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the CEO Forum event, organized by KADIN and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi, India.

This partnership brings together Nodeflux’s leadership in Artificial Intelligence and XDLINX’s cutting-edge satellite technology with the aim of addressing critical challenges such as disaster management, food security, resource monitoring, environmental sustainability, and maritime security.

The MoU also provides a framework for technology transfer to help facilitate joint technological development and the inclusion of locally sourced components, as required by the Indonesian government. The collaboration aims to boost domestic space capabilities through technology transfer and deliver high-impact solutions for critical sectors.

Advantages of LEO ISR Satellites

  • High-Resolution Imaging Below 2 meter resolution and multi-spectral bands for accurate monitoring.
  • Real-Time Data Transmission – Low latency for rapid disaster response and border surveillance.
  • Cost Efficiency & Rapid Deployment – 40% less launch and operation costs and faster to space than traditional geostationary satellites.
  • Scalability – LEO satellite constellations allow continuous global coverage for efficient monitoring.

Strategic Applications of the LEO ISR Mission

  • Maritime & Border Security – Monitoring Indonesia’s 3 million square km maritime territory to combat illegal fishing losses. Advanced satellite tracking and analysis help prevent unauthorized activities and strengthen national sovereignty.
  • Disaster Management – From tsunamis to forest fires, Indonesia faces many natural disasters every year, causing billions in losses. Near real-time data from satellites helps in quick response, saving lives and minimizing economic damage.

  • Food Security & Agriculture – Monitoring over 30 million hectares of farmland to reduce damages from climate and pests as well as to increase agricultural productivity, ensuring food stability.

  • Mining & Resource Monitoring – Illegal mining causes billions in loss every year and harms the environment. Satellite surveillance prevents it, ensuring compliance, promoting responsible extraction, and protecting Indonesia’s resources.

  • Environmental Sustainability – Monitoring over 2 million square km of forests to track deforestation, assess carbon emissions, and support ESG efforts.

  • Urban Planning & Infrastructure – Development of smart cities through improved traffic systems, infrastructure maintenance, and urban resilience.

  • Seamless Connectivity – Satellite-cellular integration for seamless asset tracking across mining, agriculture, fisheries, maritime logistics, and defense, ensuring connectivity.

The partnership paves the way for Indonesia to advance sovereign space capabilities for national defense and sustainable development through AI and satellite technology.
