Position : AIT engineer and Technician
Experience : 2 – 5
Major : Mech/ Aero/ Electrical/ Electronics.
Qualification : ITI/ Diploma/ B-Tech
Requirements :
· System level understanding of small satellite programmes, preferably across the full project lifecycle.
· Experience in space Telecom, Optical Earth Observation or Navigation applications.
· Technical delivery of complex systems, software and/or electronic hardware.
· Working in and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
· Experience with CubeSat build and test.
· Good understanding of mechanical & electrical hardware integration.
· Good understanding of the cable, connectors, & harness interface with instruments.
· Ability to investigate and resolve system-level problems.
· Hands-on engineering experience, proficient with lab test equipment.
· Exposure of the cable harness routing & interface.
· Spacecraft AIT and/or operations.
· Familiarity with standard tests for spacecraft AIT campaigns.
· Knowledge of Space Standards (i.e. ECSS, MIL-STD-1540).
· Knowledge of ESD phenomena and best practices to prevent ESD, surface cleaning and preparation processes would be a bonus.
· Strong understanding of test campaigns and ability to quickly and accurately document test reports and results. Good understanding of satellite environmental testing is required.
Responsibilities:
· Working as part of project teams to support mission/service delivery.
· Lead spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.
· Documenting assembly and integration sequence of the systems at different stage.
· Producing test and verification plans for the various stages of development.
· Planning and performing functional, electrical, mechanical and environmental tests at subsystem and spacecraft level.
· Conduct spacecraft environmental tests and analyze & documents results
· Performing mechanical assembly sequence of the spacecraft system / subsystem.
· Performing the system integration, cable harness routing.
· Subsystem and full spacecraft verification.
· Supporting spacecraft operations.
· Acceptance of spacecraft hardware (platform and payload).
· Test system definition and assembly.
· Managing the availability of test equipment (MGSE/EGSE) between different projects.
· Defining the scope of work and assigning to team of the overall AIT process.
· Ensuring all accessories, equipment & instruments availability required during the AIT process.
